But I would like to write a sort of an update, because a lot of interesting … Continue reading Of Short Stories, Summer and Splendid Updates

The Hourglass Throne came out last week, I finished reading it last night and I'm still internally screaming. This was such an emotional rollercoaster.
I had to take a selfie to show off this brilliant pumpkin embroidery necklace made by @sarena.vrana 🎃 thanks for the necklace!
I had a lot of fun talking about folk horror, movies and books I like and the inspiration behind my books at @sferakon. Thanks @vesnakurilic for the questions and the improptu pictionary with the goat. And special thanks to all who came to listen to me ramble. 🖤
Last week I uploaded photos of the decorative ribbons for my upcoming cosplay for @sferakon with the comment that I'm doing it last minute. And I've gotten the replies that two weeks before the con is not last minute.
Just finished this morning--The Year's Best African Speculative Fiction (2021), edited by Oghenechovwe Ekpeki.
The way I just can't make a normal face while posing for a photo. 😭
I came back to my "start each morning with a short story" rutine and I feel much better already. ☕📖
"People will worship anything if they need it," Corene said. "Dangle the Worm on a hook and hungry fish will bite."
My copy of Manhunt by Gretchen Felker-Martin finally found its way to me and I'm so happy!
